Questions.
Do I have to be from a specific church?
No. UPSTATE JESUS PEOPLE isn't affiliated with one church. It's for anyone from any church — or no church at all. We bring people of all ages together, from every congregation, in every stage of life.
Is it really free?
Yes. Always. We'll pass a bucket for those who want to give, but there's no admission, no ticketing, no required donation.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes. Every gathering is built for every age — kids, teens, parents, grandparents. We'll have a kids team available at most events; details announced before each gathering.
Is there something for young adults?
Yes. We invest heavily in young adults (18–30) so they can make disciples who make more disciples. Weekly gatherings, retreats, and service nights — see the Young Adults page for the full rhythm.
How can my family serve?
Pick a project on our Projects page — building, feeding, visiting, giving — and sign up. Hands and feet. We make the Upstate a better place by showing up where it's needed most.
What if it rains?
We'll announce any weather decisions by noon on the day of the gathering via email and social media. Light rain events may go on; heavy weather will be rescheduled.
My pastor is worried this will pull people from our church.
